REFLECTIONS
These insights about the workshop experience were generated live during the second day of the workshop using SLI.DO polling software. The Government Performance Consortium uses SLI.DO polling during our events to capture on the spot feedback about our experiences.
My intention for coming to this workshop is to…

One insight or result that I will remember is…
Themes:
Themes:
- Liberating Structures are easy, natural and subtle.
- Liberating Structures are tools that work for humans.
- 1-2-4-All, Triz, 25/10 are great to work with.
- I am not alone. I am worthy.
- The invitation is most important as it frames the conversation/dialogue.
- This is easy
- Lean starts with the people.
- People are humans and invitations will set a positive table for dialogue
- Practicality and the importance of leveling leadership.
- The value of Impromptu Networking to put people at ease and get them talking.
- Solutions can be simple.
- I am worthy.
- Sometimes it's best just to listen.
- Start within your sphere of influence. Doesn't have to be a huge project.
- The strong connections between Lean, liberating structures, art of hosting. And how I might integrate all into my work. I need to use these structures more to empower my staff team to drive our process more and make our time together more valuable.
- My purpose is about reducing suffering. I like writing in the margins. I prefer sitting on the floor and would like to be bold enough to do so in more situations where chair-sitting is the norm.
- The structures have a plug-n-play capability while also having the ability to be tweaked for the purpose you intend to use them.
- There is a wide range of experience with Lean, and that this event would be useful even if Lean had never been mentioned.
- There are different ways to get to solution.
- There are others who care about this and we don't have to stay quiet about making work and government better in all ways.
- 25/10. An amazingly useful and engaging tool to glean from a large group in a short time.
- Smart people are cool; smart people working together can create awesome action.
- We live in a deeply wounded world. The work IS hard and that is OK. Celebrate every small piece of progress.
- The invitation is important and it frames the conversation.
- Structure is your friend - learn how to use it to your team's advantage
- 25/10 and Triz are amazing. Will definitely use this.
- Keep it fun.
- We are not in this alone.
What's happening for me at this workshop is…

Original Responses:
- The workshop was totally different than I expected in the best way possible. Being new to the LEAN party, and a HR professional, the LS strategies are more palatable as we begin our journey.
- Learning new tools
- Awesome and helpful
- I am learning, thinking, doubting, trying to problem solve. I am curious! There are lots of things happening. Most importantly, I am connecting to build a community of resources.
- I am being inspired by the work others are doing and learning new approaches to engage staff
- Deep contemplation
- I'm thinking about so many awesome ways to bring this back to my job!!!
- Getting more tools for my toolbox
- LIBERATION
- A lot of self-reflection and curiosity.
- I usually go to a conference hoping to walk away with 2 or 3 "aha's". I like that I'm walking away from this event with a dozen 'micro-skills' that I can immediately apply.
- Increase of awareness of where my office is compared to other offices in government
- Having fun learning. Bonding with my team.
- Enlightenment
- Developing a toolbox
- Learning. Growth.
- Tons of new ideas to explore.
- Education, motivation
